Catherine Willows is a crime scene investigator at the Las Vegas Crime Lab. She was born on the 26th of March, 1963 to an ex-showgirl mother and a casino mogul father.

Her life hasn’t been easy, despite a rich father. However close she was to Sam, it was only when he killed someone that she found out he was her biological father.
Her life goal hasn’t always included law enforcement. She's had her share of struggle, pain and dull moments, some of which she could have avoided. She worked as an exotic dancer to support herself and her boyfriend, Eddie Willows, whom she later ended up marrying. Like it's been said she had her dull moments. Eddie and Catherine had a fast paced and passionate relationship which was mainly physical.

But ironically her biggest achievement in life comes out of that marriage. Her daughter, Lindsey, is 14 years old now and she’s the joy of her life, even if her work doesn’t always allow her to spend enough time with her.

She always tries to get what she wants by working hard for it and making plans, but of course staying within reasonable boundaries. Her stripping career may have not been the ideal one but it supported her financially, the thrill and physical improvement satisfied her need for a wild and ecstatic life. Unfortunately it also ended up influencing her to make the wrong choices which resulted in a coke habit.

But she's never been one to live a life that she doesn’t enjoy anymore. Knowing her lifestyle was doing no good to her, she got rid of her drug addiction and went for a newfound love; science. She earned a B.S. in Medical Technology, at UNLV, with a specialty of blood spatter analysis. She eventually divorced Eddie –catching him in *her* bed with someone else could be considered the last push she needed. He passed away a couple of years ago in a car accident. It was one of the worst days of Catherine's life for she almost lost her little girl too.

But life went on and although with quite a few scars, both her daughter and Catherine are doing okay. It’s been more than 15 years that she dropped her coke habit, finished university and worked her way up from a lab tech to supervisor. She loves her job, aside her daughter, that is what keeps her going.
